Deaf Aotearoa is a Deaf-led, not-for-profit organisation that focuses on promoting Awareness of, Access to and Advancement of New Zealand Sign Language - to help strengthen the rights of Deaf people and give them the confidence to be an active part of society. As the only nationwide provider of services to Deaf people, it provides information on a range of services for Deaf and works with businesses and organisations to provide information and resources on life for Deaf New Zealanders and NZSL.

Deaf Children New Zealand is a parent-led, volunteer organisation that supports parents and families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children. Our focus is on supporting parents, families and whānau, and ensuring that Deaf and Hard of Hearing children have appropriate access to the education curriculum and social experiences within the schooling environment.
DCNZ supports the nine Regional Parents Groups spread out from Northland to Southland, Regional Parent Groups are the best place to find local information and support. We have lots of information for parents and caregivers about their journey in parenting a child who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

The Dunedin Collaboration Against Family Violence is a network of agencies aiming to reduce and prevent Family Violence in the Dunedin Community. We strive to do this through working collaboratively with agencies within the Dunedin community who share the same drive to prevent and reduce family violence. DCAFV strives to offer opportunities to members to better their practice, and therefore better meet the needs of their clients and community. DCAFV also strives to have a strong community presence at events and community functions. This allows us to educate the public on what services are available in the community. Overall, we aim to promote a wraparound approach to family violence through training, collaboration and advocacy.
The Dunedin Community Learning Centre began in 1993 as a class for adult students with a intellectual disability. It was funded by the government through adult education. In January 2013, when government funding ceased, parents formed the Dunedin Community Learning Centre Charitable Trust and we are seeking alternative funding to continue to provide services to people with and intellectual disability that will enable them to gain skills that foster their wellbeing, happiness, independence, acceptance and contribution to society.
Friendlink assists people with intellectual disabilities to make friends and participate more fully in community life. It does this by identifying peoples needs and matching them with appropriate social and recreational groups in the community.

Based in Mosgiel, Family Mental Health Service is WellSouth’s community mental health service for individuals of all ages and families experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. FMHS clinicians work with people and families with for a period of up to six to eight months – along with their GPs and other health professionals. Māori, Pacific Island and high-needs populations are prioritised for the service. An individualised treatment plan is created for clients and the service delivers strengths-based mental health treatment and therapy service for people of all ages in a community setting. FMHS works in partnership with a number of other organisations and schools including providing advice and information to others around the care of individuals with mental health issues.
