Meet the friendly team at Livingwell Disability Resource Centre

General Manager / Mobile Service Coordinator
I began my career in the health and disability sector after completing a Bachelor of Midwifery. While I found great satisfaction in supporting women and their whānau, I was seeking a role that offered a better work-life balance.
I then became a Health and Disability Advocate, supporting consumers to understand and exercise their rights, before joining Livingwell in 2018 to launch the Mobile Service. In 2023, I stepped into the Manager role.
I am passionate about helping people find practical solutions that enable them to maintain their independence and live the life they choose. I also enjoy leading a dedicated team who are committed to supporting our disabled community and bringing our vision to life: "Everyone lives a good life."

I am passionate about ensuring the built environment is accessible for people for all abilities and passing on skills I have learned from negotiating the world from a wheelchair since 1967.

Community Engagement Information Consultant
My career in the disability sector began in Scotland as a volunteer Community Living Assistant while studying Social Work at the University of Dundee. Since then, I've worked in disability services in Vancouver and spent more than seven years as a Social Worker in London, progressing to the role of Advanced Social Work Practitioner with a specialist focus on disability.
After taking time out to raise my daughter and emigrating to New Zealand, I returned to the disability sector with a renewed passion for supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives. I'm committed to creating inclusive communities and empowering individuals and families through person-centred support.
