YSS is a specialised adolescent and family mental health service providing assessment and treatment for young people 14 years up to 19years. Our service caters for young people, and their families who live in the Southern DHB Otago district, who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health problems, suspected psychiatric disorders, or severe emotional and behavioural disturbance. Our service is voluntary and free of charge for New Zealand citizens and permanent residents. Some charges can apply to people from other countries.
We accept referrals, in writing, from any professional working with young people. We can accept family and self-referrals.
24/7 helpline
Phone, TXT, Web Chat and Email counselling for people of all ages with a specific focus on 10 to 30 years. Call TXT or email between 8am-Midnight, 7 days a week. Midnight to 8am, crisis support calls. We also provide volunteer training for members of the community who wish to become Youthline Helpline Counsellors.

iSign is a service of Deaf Aotearoa and is managed by a team of dedicated staff. We contract over 80 qualified NZSL interpreters and match the appropriate interpreter to the needs of the service user.
Weekdays 9am - 5pm
We're a non-profit, community organisation run by a group of trained and dedicated professionals. We are committed to providing free, confidential, trauma-informed and holistic supports to people of all genders aged 16 years and over, on their journey towards healing. This can be for survivors of sexual violence, as well as whānau, friends, parents and communities. We also provide community sexual violence prevention and education.
